Description
The Crossroads at Independence is a neighborhood shopping center located at the signalized intersection of Independence Boulevard and Carolina Beach Road (NC 421) in Wilmington, NC. Anchored by a large format (78,000 sf) Harris Teeter grocery store, the project is strategically located between RiverLights – a new development along the Cape Fear River to include 2,400+ residences and a 112-slip marina, the redevelopment of Echo Farms country club into numerous residential neighborhoods, and The Pointe at Barclay, a major new retail/entertainment center anchored by a 14-screen luxury theater. Opened in October 2022, the center features a number of quality retail tenants in addition to Harris Teeter, including K38 Baja Grill, Port City Java, Fleet Feet, Great Clips, PT’s Olde Fashioned Grille, Heartland Dental, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice and City BBQ (coming in 2024).
