Harris Teeter Celebrates Grand Opening at the Crossroads at Independence
Wilmington Mayor Bill Saffo joined store employees in a ribbon cutting that formally opened Harris Teeter’s newest store. A laser light show, live music and numerous complimentary “Taste of Teeter” offerings highlighted the opening celebration that was attended by hundreds of enthusiastic Teeter customers.
The large format store features signature Harris Teeter amenities, such as a Starbucks, a hot foods bar, salad bar, a sub shop, store made pizza, fresh sushi, full-service floral and custom floral arrangements, and a sit-down dining area. There is also a pharmacy, ExpressLane Online Shopping, and a fuel center, providing one-stop-shopping. And, unique to the large format stores, customers can enjoy beer and wine while viewing action on big-screen TV’s.
Harris Teeter anchors the Crossroads at Independence, a new Live Oak Development Company neighborhood center located in between mid-town Wilmington and several fast-growing residential developments along the Cape Fear River.
